Stories of police injustice and brutality can be found in abundance around the world but If there is any police organization in the world that can be unfair to even its own front line police officers and still boast of being the best and striving to uphold Rights & Justice, we have the Punjab Police.
It has shamelessly shown the door to two of its courageous and honest police officers who had the courage to call a spade a spade. S.I.Kamaljeet Singh and S.I.Rajinder singh, who were posted with intelligence wing of the state police expressed their disagreement with the value system of corruption being promoted in the form of out of turn promotions but in order to protect its fraternity of corrupt Indian Police Service leadership, the contemporary Indian Police Service leadership of the state, shamelessly accepted the resignations that were given as protest and substantiated that they are immune to accountabilty.
Both the crusaders had joined Punjab Police service in the year 1989 as Assistant Sub Inspectors and currently hold the post of Sub Inspectors but the persons who were enroled as constables have been promoted to the ranks of Inspectors and aspiring to be the Dy.S.P. in complete disregard to merit and procedures and they blame it to nothing but rampant corruption among Indian Police Service officers.
